Developmental Editing provides feedback on matters such as characterization, plot, narrative structure, pacing, theme, and voice. Areas needing work are identified, along with suggestions for addressing them. In instances where the editor sees opportunities to enhance areas that display no apparent weaknesses, additional feedback may be provided for the author's consideration.
Line Editing involves going through the author's manuscript one line at a time with an eye toward improving elements such as style, language, clarity, tone, and consistency.
Copyediting addresses areas such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, tense, appropriate usages, small logic lapses, and fact-checking.
I also offer help with outlines.
